Driveline Failure Cuts Race Short at Supermoto

Team shadowrally competed in the first ever rally supermoto event on August 16 th . The car was running very strong, despite of poor race organizations and only one practice run of the course prior to elimination runs. We were testing out a new suspension travel limiting system and the first ever runs of the asymmetric Michelin rally tires. Unfortunately during the first elimination run the car took air over the jump from the outer to inner ovals. Upon landing the driveline halfshaft was over torqued and broke in half! The team has already rebuilt the driveline and is ready for the next race, Lake Superior Performance Rally (LSPR) in October.
